To obtain an e-Visa, you must first apply online through the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. Here is a brief overview of the different types of visas:

– J-1: The J-1 visa is for visitors who are intending to participate in cultural activities or study in Japan. You must have an approved invitation from a Japanese organization or school.

– F-1: The F-1 visa is for students who are enrolled in a recognized university or college in Japan. You must have an intent to return to your home country after finishing your studies in Japan.

– E-2: The E-2 visa is for skilled workers who will be employed in specific fields in Japan. You must have an offer of employment from a Japanese company and valid documentation proving your qualifications.

Conclusion

If you’re a foreigner visiting India and planning on staying for more than six months, you may need to apply for an e-Visa. E-Visas are electronic documents that allow foreign visitors to stay in Japan for up to ninety days without having to leave and reapply each time. There are some caveats, though: first, you’ll need to have a valid passport; second, all your visas will be linked together so that if your visa expires while you’re in Japan, you’ll also have to leave the country; third, e-Visas cannot be used to travel onwards to China or South Korea. If you’re unsure whether or not an e-Visa is right for you, consult the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or an immigration lawyer.
