Moderna vs. Pfizer – Which is the Better Whitener?
In these last few weeks of this year, there has been a worldwide web frenzy over a new kind of toothpaste Moderna by Pfizer. Both Pfizer and Moderna are well-respected companies, both in the dental field and throughout the pharmaceutical world. But which one is truly the superior product? And does this brand really stand up to its competitors?
The similarities between the two products are many. They both have anti-plaque and anti-tartar ingredients which, as you may not know, are the building blocks of plaque and calculus. They both have active ingredients which strengthen the gums and enamel. And they both contain natural Vitamin E and Aloe Vera which are effective against cavities and other gum maladies. But what sets them apart from each other?
Let’s take a closer look at these and see if they are really worth buying over the competition. The competition includes such products as Dentyne, Advantus, Comfort Dentistry, etc. And let’s not forget Colgate Palmolive and Philips Norelco. If these companies’ brands are any indication of what quality you should be looking for in a toothpaste then I’d have to say that they are close to being equal to each other in all aspects. However, Moderna manages to edge out its competitors in a couple of areas that I would like to take a closer look at.
First of all, Moderna offers gel-based toothpaste which some people might find a bit more effective than regular liquid-based ones. The reason it works a bit better is that the gel-based formula doesn’t add extra bacteria to your mouth as most liquid-based toothpaste do. Instead, it acts as an abrasive, removing built-up plaque on your teeth and between your teeth. This will definitely improve the health of your teeth. However, Moderna also offers two different pH-sensitive kinds of toothpaste. This allows you to use either a softer or harder version depending on what your teeth are currently like.
With regards to the taste of this Moderna vs. Pfizer toothpaste, I think that most people will find that it tastes quite a bit better than the Pfizer Branded toothpaste. Now the reason why I think this is because the tartar and bacteria haven’t been introduced yet. Most people won’t even notice the difference anyway because their mouths are already pre-cleared. However, for those that have sensitive gums and mouths, it can be a difference-maker. This doesn’t mean that the regular version of Moderna is not a good product however, for those with sensitive gums and mouths it may be a good choice to go with the specially formulated version.
Another thing that Moderna Vs. Pfizer both knockouts but for different reasons is that the specially formulated toothpaste contains “Baerile”. What does this mean? It means that the bacteria in the bottle are not the regular kind we all know from our favorite mouthwash brands. Rather, this specially formulated toothpaste is meant to kill the bacteria we don’t want in our mouth at all.
The companies that make this specially formulated toothpaste claim that it can kill as many as 500 different types of harmful bacteria, including those we usually get rid of with mouthwash. Now that is some pretty impressive claims. However, the fact is that most of these products simply don’t live up to expectations.
As far as Moderna vs. Pfizer being the best teeth whitening product goes, that debate is likely to rage on for a very long time. However, it is important for you to understand that your overall health, as well as your teeth, will suffer if you do not take good care of them. In this case, both Pfizer and Moderna vs. Pfizer both knockouts but only one comes out on top.
